Dr. Angela L. Harris, PhD3 is a highly influential leader and educator with a profound impact across the African diaspora. A native of Columbus, Ohio, and now residing in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Harris is a distinguished academic with a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems Administration from DeVry University, a Master of Science in Social Work with a focus on Education from Keller University, and multiple PhDs in Theology (Ashland Seminary College), Human Resources Development (Capella University), and Humanities (Fresh Anointing Christian College).

Dr. Harris’s influence extends beyond academia; she is a trailblazer in civil rights, cultural advocacy, and community leadership. As the first female President of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in Dekalb County, Georgia, she has championed social justice and equality, following in the footsteps of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Her leadership roles include serving as an ordained elder, visionary, public speaker, life and business coach, and cultural activist.

Dr. Harris is also a prolific creator and producer, with notable achievements in film, music, and writing. She founded and oversees the B.L.A.C.K.W.O.O.D. WORLDWIDE, a new entertainment industry initiative aimed at reconnecting people with spiritual and educational values through innovative “spiritainment” and “edutainment.” She also launched the B.L.A.C.K. I AM INTERNATIONAL AWARDS, which celebrates the contributions of Black individuals globally, and the B.L.A.C.K. KINGS & QUEENS WORLDWIDE, furthering her mission of cultural empowerment.

Her commitment to education is evident through her creation of the Principles of Blackness Cultural & Wellness Training Academy and the On The Set Entertainment Developmental and Training Academy. Dr. Harris’s dedication to youth development and education is reflected in her active participation in school programs and her efforts to monitor and improve the education and entertainment industries.
